Turnkey Mobile Foodservice Concept
This is a food trailer concept on South Padre Island, Texas that I created a few years ago to augment the beachside food and beverage offering at the Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island. I started with a 1979 Airstream International Land Yacht, had it gutted and pulled to a fabricator. There, we created a tiny kitchen optimized to rapidly crank out delicious tacos and margaritas. Simultaneously, I constructed a menu with help from expert chefs. The outlets was launched in 2017, and still remains a beacon of deliciousness on the beaches of South Padre Island.

“Hershal, we just bought some condos and we need to start renting them!” I launched this business, complete with a cloud-based management software, booking website, and third-party booking integrations (to get listed on Airbnb and VRBO, for example). I also implemented a cloud-based CRM and internet live chat that allows agents to communicate with customers, while they are browsing rental properties, addressing the particular property they may be viewing in real time (yes, it’s creepy, but also very effective).

During the COVID-19-related shelter-in-place recommendations, I took the extra time to catalog this otherwise idle knowledge in the format of tutorial videos on YouTube.
